Privacy Policy

Last updated 13 August 2026. This policy explains how Srikaaram (registered legal name NOT YET PUBLISHED — contact support@srikaaram.in) ("Srikaaram", "we") collects, uses and protects your personal data as a Data Fiduciary under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the "DPDP Act").

1. Who we are

Srikaaram (registered legal name NOT YET PUBLISHED — contact support@srikaaram.in), Hyderabad, Telangana, India (registered office address NOT YET PUBLISHED — contact support@srikaaram.in), operates Srikaaram Matrimony and is the Data Fiduciary responsible for your personal data. This policy applies to the website, web app and mobile apps under srikaaram.in.

2. Personal data we collect

Account details (email and/or mobile number); profile information you choose to provide (name, date of birth, gender, religion, community/caste, mother tongue, education, profession, income, marital status, location, family details, horoscope, photos and partner preferences); verification media (selfie, short video or Government ID) if you opt to get verified; content you post (messages, interests, reports); payment status; and technical/usage data (device, app interactions, IP) needed to run and secure the service.

3. How we use your data (purposes)

To create and display your profile; suggest relevant matches within your chosen community and preferences; enable interests, contact unlocks and chat; verify identity and moderate the platform; process payments and issue invoices; provide support and service notifications; and comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud, abuse and safety risks.

4. Legal basis & consent

We process your personal data based on the consent you provide at sign-up and when you submit information, and for certain legitimate uses and legal obligations permitted under the DPDP Act. Where we process sensitive information such as verification media, we do so only with your consent and for the stated purpose.

5. Withdrawing consent

You can withdraw your consent at any time by adjusting your profile, deactivating, or deleting your account (Profile → Delete or deactivate account), or by writing to us. Withdrawing consent or deleting your account stops further processing, though it does not affect processing already carried out lawfully or data we must retain by law.

6. Sharing & disclosure

Your profile is shown to other members in line with your visibility settings; contact details are shared only when you and a match mutually unlock them. We share data with trusted processors who help us run the service (hosting, our payment partner Razorpay, and communication providers) under confidentiality obligations, and with authorities where required by law or to protect rights and safety. We do not sell your personal data.

7. Your rights as a Data Principal

Under the DPDP Act you may: access a summary of your personal data and how it is processed; seek correction, completion or updating; request erasure; nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity; and raise a grievance. To exercise these rights, use the in-app controls or contact our Grievance Officer below.

8. Data security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including row-level access controls, encryption of data in transit, private storage for photos and verification media, and restricted staff access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and will handle any breach in accordance with applicable law.

9. Data retention

We retain your data while your account is active. On permanent deletion, your personal data is removed after a short grace period, except where we are required to retain certain records (for example, tax or transaction records) to comply with law.

10. Children

The service is intended only for adults of legal marriageable age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided data, please contact us so we can remove it.

11. Cookies, analytics & cross-border processing

We use minimal cookies/local storage for sessions and basic analytics to improve the service. Some of our processors may store or process data on servers located outside India; where they do, we require appropriate safeguards consistent with the DPDP Act.
